I try to keep up with a reasonably eclectic mix of blogs, and often find that what I want to say has been said before and better by others. So...
Go and read this post at Paul's place, and this one at Fran's.
Remember, go vote early if you can. If you can't - don't miss voting on the day of the election. It's your civic duty, friends. (Or, as the immortal Lucy Van Pelt always said, "If you don't vote, Don't Crab!")

Thanks for the link and for the Lucy wisdom.
There is a lot at stake in this election - with human dignity at the foundation whether it regards economy, healthcare, education, war and so much more.
At the quotation on your sidebar indicates, we need the waters of justice and righteousness to really roll around here.
Thank you and peace!
What Fran said. Thanks for the linky love. Dr. King's citation of Amos stirs up in me memories of so many of the classical prophets' cries for justice. May new prophets arise in our time to call us to all we are meant to be and do.
I am so grateful for the internet linking us into a new kind of community where we can encourage one another.
And I echo what you remind us all to do: Vote!
