So... I'm reading a book for fun - a rare treat - and I bumped into another incorrect word choice. It could be attributable to spell check, or to some copy editor not understanding the difference between homophones. Since it's Christmas, I'll assume the more charitable explanation. The book is Roman Dusk by Chelsea Quinn Yarbro. On page 169 part of a sentence reads, "...the most delectable dishes become dull to the palette..." I'm pretty sure the word meant here is "palate," not "palette." Ever vigilant...
